In today’s fast-paced world of data and technology, the opportunity to share knowledge and real-world experience is truly invaluable. That’s exactly what we set out to do with our recent seminar on Modern Data Analytics with Microsoft Fabric. The event attracted the interest of numerous professionals and offered a hands-on look at how emerging technologies can transform the way we work with data.

Now that the event has wrapped up, we caught up with Georgi to get his perspective on how it went, highlight some of the key discussions that took place, and dive a bit deeper into both the event itself and the capabilities of Microsoft Fabric.

How did the event go? What was the audience’s reaction?

We managed to gather an audience of about 60 people on the live stream and many more going through the recording later, so I would say that it was definitely worth the effort to prepare that. We wanted to focus on a hands-on demo, so people can actually see and feel what the user experience is. We went through the whole lifecycle of a data analytics project – from ingestion, through processing, and finally visualization. We finished with some questions which demonstrated substantial interest in the platform.

What were the most common questions or challenges raised by the participants?

As with any new software product, majority of people want to stack it up against the competition, so we had quite some questions going in that direction. Highlighting the pros and cons of the platform versus its core competitors. On top of that, we had some folks asking about certain features, and practices on the platform.

What is the biggest advantage of Microsoft Fabric in modern data analytics?

Microsoft Fabric is a game-changer because it brings unified data management, AI-powered insights, and seamless integration with the Microsoft ecosystem. It simplifies complex analytics workflows and enables businesses to make data-driven decisions faster and more effectively. Furthermore, it offers predictable cost, with its simple pricing model.

Where do you see the future of data analytics heading?

We аre moving towards a future where AI-driven automation, real-time analytics, and self-service data platforms will become the norm. Businesses will increasingly rely on intelligent, scalable, and cloud-native solutions like Microsoft Fabric to extract more value from their data.

What advice would you give to professionals looking to grow in the field of data analytics?

Stay curious and always be open to learning. Technologies evolve fast, and the key is to build a strong foundation in data engineering, analytics, and AI. Hands-on experience is crucial, so explore tools like Microsoft Fabric, Databricks etc. And, of course, attending events and networking with industry experts is always a great way to stay updated!
