Business System Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business System Analyst with a strong background in Data Warehouse and data-related projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Data Integration delivery within the financial services industry. As a Business System Analyst, you will be responsible for owning and documenting various deliverables related to data extraction, transformation, and reporting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of data-centric projects.

Responsibilities:

• Own and document deliverables including source system extract specifications, data transformation specifications, and fine-grained data mappings.
• Capture extract specifications from both internal and external data sources.
• Negotiate SLAs for incoming data sources with application owners.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Data Architects and Data Governance to define data conforming business rules and move Line of Business specific data into a standardized financial data model.
• Work with business teams to design tables and feed structures.
• Define complex transformation rules for regulatory and non-regulatory reports in collaboration with business teams.
• Apply Data Warehouse concepts such as slowly changing dimensions, fact tables, and surrogate key assignment.
• Model tables using tools like Power Designer.
• Possess strong SQL skills,
• Collaborate with development, QA, and UAT teams to provide detailed sizing/estimates for projects.
• Collaborate with Program Managers or Project Managers to build detailed timelines for the team.
• Participate in business requirements gathering activities.
• Perform advanced data discovery and profiling to assess suitability for meeting project needs.
• Understand key Data Quality (DQ) concepts and apply them to the process of data acquisition and integration.

Requirements:

• 4 + years’ BA experience in a fast paced technology company
• Experience in the financial/banking services industry
• Experience in alignment with business stakeholders
• Client-focused person with excellent communication skills and influencing skills
• Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
• Advanced SQL skills and experience querying data warehouses would be a significant plus
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, etc.
• Eager to learn and advance in data management field
• Fluency in English

Location:

The position is based in Sofia or Varna.
