Adastra Academy Initiatives February Update

Due to the uncertain pandemic situation, our Adastra Academy initiatives will be held remotely in partnership with the leading universities in Bulgaria.

In the beginning of March we start with our regular elective discipline in Information Management for TU-Varna’s Bachelor students in their summer semester. Approximately 120 students in their fourth year of study have chosen to engage with Adastra during their education. More than 30 adastrans have accepted the challenge to become Adastra Academy trainers and conduct the lectures and labs. The course covers topics related to Relational Modelling, Data Quality, Data Mastering, Data Integration, Quality Assurance and Business Intelligence.

In parallel, we are starting our own elective Big Data discipline for Master students at the same university. Supported by colleagues form the Big Data practice, this discipline is taking place for the first time, attracts best students in Computer Science and Technologies faculty and we are hoping that it will also become a tradition. The discipline covers wide area of topics in Big Data, Data Streaming, Data Gathering, Data Visualization and Cloud.

During the summer semester we will also be conducting our regular guest lectures on Data Bases at University of Economics – Varna and Data Warehousing in Plovdiv University for Bachelor students at both universities.

We are currently working on arrangement of other common initiatives with the universities in Bulgaria, so stay tuned for more exciting news.
